Nintendo to make historic appearance at CES with Wii U

Nintendo has always been known for its notorious escapes from the Consumer Electronics Show however, this year, after 17 years of no mention whatsoever, Nintendo is all set to make an historic appearance at the expo showcasing the now long pending Wii U.

This is surely brilliant as everyone was expecting to see the console at E3 next year however, this is a great time to have a proper hands-on and build on our impressions of the console.

It’ll also be interesting to see what will make the console tick apart from the regular showcase of games that’ll be made available for the Wii U.

From a CNET report, it’s also mentioned that Sony will of course be pushing the PS Vita with technology partners Logitech, Mad Katz and the likes showcasing accessories for the handheld.

Microsoft is also set to be bringing more news with it’s now new content integration on the updated interface for the Xbox 360.

It was also rumored that Microsoft is intending to make some kind of an announcement about the XBox 720 at the show. From my internet skimming, the XBox 720 will apparently feature a Six-core Processor with 2GB DDR3 RAM with an AMD Graphics Processing Unit.

Interesting as it may sound, we’ll just have to wait for CES 2012 at Las Vegas set to run from Jan 10 – 13.
