Ubisoft: 25 million Just Dance copies sold worldwide

Ubisoft have announced that their Just Dance franchise has sold over 25 million units world wide and their more recent Just Dance 3, launched in October 2011 stands at 7 million units sold to make it the most-selling title in December 2011.

“The Just Dance franchise continues to be first choice for customers around the world looking for games that let them dance and get the party started in their living rooms.” said Geoffroy Sardin, chief EMEA (Europe, Middle-East and Africa) sales and marketing officer at Ubisoft.

According to Ubisoft’s internal estimates, Ubisoft games accounted for 64% of the dance game genre in the EMEA region for 2011. The game had always been listed in the top sales charts on both the NPD (U.S) and GfK Chart Track (Europe). Ubisoft also pointed out that gamers have spent 23 million minutes dancing to about 7.3 million songs available for the game.

“Our diverse dance game offerings ensure that everyone can find an accessible and enjoyable title regardless of platform, and that we have a broad base upon which to bring new ideas and titles in the years to come,” added Mr. Sardin.
