Asura’s Wrath Reviews | Mixed feelings apparent

Asura’s Wrath is what I believe 2012′s biggest and greatest action bash ‘em up titles that fuels rage with a great story about misery and vengeance. Players are put in the shoes of Asura, one of eight Guardian Generals tasked with protecting heaven and earth from a deadly force called Gohma.

After he returns from a vicious battle, Asura is summoned to the Emperor’s throne where to his horror and surprise, the emperor is murdered and Asura stands as prime accused of the homicide. After he escapes Imperial forces, Asura returns home only to find his wife Durga murdered and his daughter Mithra kidnapped by the very allies he fought with. Asura is then confronted by Deus who reveals himself to be the Emperor’s murderer to bring about something he calls “The Great Rebirth.”

As Asura tries to save his child, he is weakened by Deus attacks and gets dropped from the edge of a platform only to fall towards the Earth swearing to exact his revenge.

Developed by CyberConnect 2 and published by Capcom, Asura’s Wrath is for the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems. Check out the reviews below from some of industry’s best reviewers.
