DOA 5 gets new Screenshots

Dead or Alive 5 is an upcoming fighting game in the Dead or Alive series, developed by Team Ninja and is set for release in September 2012. It is the first game in the series to see a multi-platform release since Dead or Alive 2 and the only one to be released simultaneously for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The game’s publisher Tecmo Koei has released some screenshots which feature popular fighters like Kasumi, Ayane and Akira. Yup, you saw that right! Virtua Fighter’s Akira will be in the game as a special guest character.

DOA 5 will release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 sometime during September 2012 in Japan. But, the release date for the game in NA is speculated to be around in the year 2013. In the meantime, check out the fighting game’s new screenies below.
