Free Portal 2 Level Editor coming May 8th

Valve has announced that the free level editor for the multiple award winning Portal 2 will drop for the PC and the Mac on 8th May. First talked about last October, the editor is going to be made available as part of the free Perpetual Testing Initiative downloadable content.

The level editor offers the opportunity for players to create their own levels and share it with the world. Creations can be published on Steam Workshop, where other players can browse for, download and rate levels.

Perpetual Testing Initiative is the second DLC in line after the Peer Review content that came out last year. This DLC drops for the PC on May 8th however, there has been no mention of the DLC for XBox 360 or PlayStation 3 yet.
