Rainbow Moon gets new Trailer, Gameplay explained
East Asia Soft’s new PlayStation 3 turn-based RPG Rainbow Moon received a new trailer showcasing gameplay, combat elements and more good things of that sort.
Akin to the Final Fantasy series, Disgaea and such, battles take place on a grid-type landscape - an element old school turn-based RPGs have grown up with. Allowing more time to think and strategize, Rainbow Moon places a myriad of commands at players disposal. Using the right skills at the right time can guarantee a decisive victory. Over a 120 skills are to be made available at launch.
There are over a 100 different types of enemies in the game from 17 different classes. Featuring unique characteristics, each enemy type can do much more than just attacking – cast support skills, focus attacks on a certain character, splitting, merging, self-destructing, fleeing are just some of the few actions they can do. More are waiting to be discovered.
Gamers can chose to deploy their team in various grid formats depending on the enemy they’ve encountered. The game features random encounters and visible enemy encounters. Rainbow Moon also incorporates a wide variety of status effects, potions and enchantments, weapon affinities, a BIAS system, passive skills, skill levels, a speed bonus system and so much more.
More information on the game’s features are to be available pretty soon. The game is set to release exclusively for the PlayStation 3 via the PSN. Although the game looks like it’ll do brilliantly on the Vita, it has not been announced if the developer plans on porting the game to the Vita. This might probably do great stuff to the Vita just like what Disgaea did to the PSP.
