CD Projekt RED Working on a New Cyberpunk RPG

CD Projekt RED, the team behind The Witcher series, has revealed that their next triple-A RPG will be set in a Cyberpunk themed universe. And apparently, the game is called Cyberpunk as well and is based on Mike Pondsmith’s 1988 Cyberpunk 2020.

Cyberpunk will be a mature RPG which would be both realistic and brutal, with a gripping non-linear storyline that is filled with life, detail and moral ambiguities.
The game will be adopting a Pen & Paper style of RPG mechanics, similar to the original.

The game will feature a varied selection of different character classes and customization options with numerous arsenal of weapons, upgrades, implants and cool high-tech gadgets.

CD Projekt RED will be using the latest version of their RED Engine and promise to release a product that will live up to the company’s expectations. Check out the game’s concept art below which was released by CDPR.
