Atari celebrating 40 years of Gaming

Since it’s inception, Atari has gone on to publish more than 400 games across multiple platforms. 40 years ago, with $500, Nolan Bushnell and Ted Dabney founded one of the greatest companies in the history of Video Gaming, a company that has come to revolutionize the word “Games.” Happy Birthday Atari!

Atari started gaining success through it’s first game Pong. In 10 years after Atari was founded, the company was making approximately $2 billion in revenue. With games topping over the 1 million sales mark, Atari went on to create some great console innovations including inventing the first handheld console – The Lynx.

From Pong to Poing, Pacman to Asteroids, Atari has survived generations of gamers. Although the company has been through it’s ups and downs, it has always come out with wonderful innovations that have left a deep impression in many of it’s gamer base.
