Rumor – Bethesda to Publish S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2

According to a well known games industry personnel and blogger Sergey Galyonkin, Bethesda has purchased the rights to publish the upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2.

Apparently, Sergei Girgorovich, game developer involved in making the game sold the rights to Bethesda, the same people who bought obsidian’s Fallout 3.

The official S.T.A.L.K.E.R page said that it had not sold the rights to anyone and Bethesda “does not comment on rumor or speculation.”

“According to my sources the news that Bethesda purchased the Stalker rights is false. I will continue to keep a look out and if I hear anything new, you will all be the first to know!”

“To be clear the exact requirements for the owner of GSC to sell the IP rights of the Stalker franchise are as follows: Shares in the company purchasing the rights. The right to choose the development team that will work on the title. And last but not least a very high finacial sum. There’s either a severe disconnect between the guy doing the buying selling and the guy running the Facebook page or there’s something going on that they probably will have revealed during this year’s Quakecon.
